I can’t imagine that he thinks we’d be surprised if we found out we were part of an intelligent design that took place over seven “days”. I have a feeling that his reference is more in line with a seeding of our species by a race of extraterrestrials, like the Annunaki.

Whether they are here to collect DNA from organisms, harvest energy/resources, or manipulate/control humans It’s less risky for them to conceal their presence. If they didn’t conceal themselves they could be vulnerable against an entire planet of hostile military forces. Even though they are highly advanced beings they are low on numbers and can be overwhelmed with attacks. Aliens would prefer not to die, or be captured, and their spacecraft seized. It could be possible that alien governments do not want their most advanced technology to be stolen.
