Hello. I was thinking about the implications of having a fuel depot in space and being able to refuel rockets with it. This would be huge for all aspects of space travel. What are the major difficulties surrounding this concept and what is stopping us from doing it?
Something I thought of: 1. In-space fuel has to be cryogenic to not freeze in space. Handling and transportation of cryogenic fluids is extremely difficult and requires advanced materials and systems. We know how to do it on Earth but in space perhaps it's very difficult?
