If time dilation increases exponentially the closer you get to a black hole, does that mean it would take an infinite amount of time for ANY matter to actually cross it?
Are all black holes in existence simply hollow spheres of infinitely redshifting, infinitely slowing matter that will never cross the event horizon since doing so would require an infinite amount of time? Or am I completely and absolutely wrong?
