I applied for a JPL internship a couple months ago, and had an interview with a manager two weeks ago. Today, I got a phone call from HR saying that they're moving forward with my recruitment process. Paraphrasing, they said, "We'll be sending you an email where you will fill out an official employment application so we can check if you meet the requirements. This will tell us what level you will come in as. You will also need to send official transcripts for this potential job offer." The mood of the call was celebratory too, the HR person was clearly happy for me. But they didn't outright say I got the job.
I'm assuming that they just need to make sure I wasn't lying on my application, along with checking that I'm a US citizen and don't have any felonies and what not. I can't imagine they would ask me for official transcripts without the intention of extending a job offer. Is this the case? I'm so excited!!!!
