Which degree is more valuable at NASA?

Hello! Well, I'm on my last year of high school in Costa Rica, and soon, I'll have to choose my career. Currently my options are studying Mechatronical Engineering, or getting a double major on Mechanical engineering and Physics (to then go into Astrophysics). My main concern with mechatronics is that it is very new, and i don't know if not being specialized will be more of a disadvantage.

Anyway, since I like both fields a lot, I wanted to make my decision based on which had a higher change of getting a job at NASA. I know that's far-fetched, and will require a lot of work on my end, but it's also my dream, so i wanted to work as much as I could to achieve it.

Also, while we are on this topic, do you think that I even have a chance of working at NASA with a degree from a public University from Costa Rica? Please be as honest as necessary. I do have good grades and all, but for financial reasons it would be impossible to afford to study abroad, even with a scholarship. What's your advice?

Thank you very much for your time, and thank you in advance for your response, any piece of advice/information will be greatly appreciated. Have a great day!
