Photon Metaphor

They say that two photons emitted of light will never collide. Instead, they pass right through each other. Our sun is the largest source of light in our solar system, and even then it cannot produce enough energy for a photon to collide with another photon. Now imagine that photons were people, infinitely everywhere yet unable to collide with or acknowledge one another. Would we think that we are the only one out there? That we are the only "photon" to ever exist since we never collided with another like our kind? Think about it.
