Seeking Feedback for Futurism Blog

Link to my most recent post on Transhumanism

I'm currently writing a blog about my thoughts of technology, philosophy, futurism, and space, among other things. It's a cross between my personal opinions on certain topics and educational information on various concepts. The idea is to spark discussion and creative thought.

My goals are:

-To make people interested/hopeful in the future

-To potentially inspire people to study more about how life works

-To get people thinking about how they could use their own skills to help humanity progress

-To get people to ponder questions they may not have otherwise ever considered (thus my "Curiosity of the Day" bit)

-To open a discussion in the comments for people to freely converse about these topics. Part of the CotD goal.

Overall, I just want people to think more. I encounter so many people who have little to zero knowledge about the fundamentals of life. I used to be one of those people and after YEARS of learning about it all, it's completely changed my perspective and goals in life. This blog is an outlet for my passions in those areas, while also serving as a tool for people to become interested in a variety of topics.

My current worries/where I'd like feedback:

-Am I getting too far outside the realms of science? Aka, am I relying too heavily on my personal philosophical beliefs than hard science. I prefer to keep all my ideas rooted in factual scientific possibility, but certain things aren't possible for that (like my Economy of the Stars piece). My Constants Equation piece is probably where I'm worried about this the most.

-How do I come across in my writing? I worry about coming across as elitist, uninformed, arrogant, or crazy. I just love talking about this kind of stuff and am hoping that my passion for it is what's coming through.

-Is my writing too dense or too simple? Do you think that's a bad thing?

My inspirations for this are:

-Sean Carroll and his blog about physics/life.

-Neil DeGrasse Tyson and his ability to make science profound and accessible.

-Bill Nye and Veritasium for making science fun and interesting.

-Michio Kaku and Ray Kurzweil for always looking to the future for inspiration and hope.

If you have any feedback on the website's design, logo, "Curiosity of the Day", or end slogan, let me know too. Also willing to take any ideas on how to improve the site or concepts to write about.

I post weekly at the moment, but will likely move to biweekly. I wrote a bunch of stuff to give me a buffer before launching the website. I imagine that will catch up to me at some point. Writing one of these per week can be challenging. I find myself doing one per two weeks more often. Depends on how much inspiration I get.

Lastly, please be gentle. I'm not the kind of person who usually posts my personal thoughts anywhere. In fact, sharing things that I find deeply personal makes me nervous, online or IRL. This project is a bit of a way for me to overcome that anxiety, as well.

I just want to make some kind of difference and this feels like a good start to that journey. Thanks for taking the time to look at my stuff :).
