So we know more about the surface of Mars than the ocean. We have also detected weird signals coming from the deepest parts of the ocean; we have seen weird spears in fishes in the middle of the ocean away from any land and they appear to be fresh. For aliens to come all the way from most likely 100s of light-years would take forever- even if a ship was going at the speed of light (no object can go faster than that). However, all the UFO and alien sightings have to be something real, but the aliens couldn't of come from that far of a place. So, what if they came from our own planet; what if they came from the ocean? Most descriptions of people who've seen "aliens" describe then as having big eyes and globular heads, a trait that is common with deep sea animals because of the dark environment they live in. They have evolved the big eyes to see and capture all the light they can. Aliens could have evolved in the deepest parts of the ocean retaining the characteristics that their ancestors required to survive, the large eyes. Considering how vast and unexplored the ocean and our planet really is, it wouldn't be too crazy to theorize that we share it with another intelligent species- possibly coming from the ocean and possibly being the "aliens" people see. People also describe most UFO sightings to be from or around the ocean which is further support for this theory.
