Has NASA ever done animal studies on the effects of reduced gravity on embryological development or gestation/reproduction?

While I'm not aware of NASA plans for future colonization of other planets/moons, I know it is a popular topic of discussion in some spaceflight communities. Given that any self-supporting, off-Earth colony will require indigenous population growth and that most of the potential "near term" targets have significantly different gravity from Earth, has NASA ever studied what effects altered gravity has on gestation/embryological development?

Most specifically, I'm interested as it would relate to a possible future colony on Mars which has about 1/3 the gravity of Earth.
