If it's a megastructure galactically next door to us. It would imply that they have a strong influence over our area. Any races that approach would have to deal with the race that owns that giant megastructure. So that limits the amount of Alien contact we will ever have.
The reason the vast majority of UFO sightings are of only a handful of designs of crafts, mostly orbs that turn into triangles are because they are from the race that controls this space. It also explains why Alien abduction cases nearly are mostly Greys.
Same ships, Same Physical Aliens and a giant Alien Megastructure galactically next door. I'm fairly certain by using Occam's Razor they are all related.
