I guess this isn't a bad place for this post, but at the same time it may be better suited to a science of philosophy sub reddit.
What are the theories that exist regarding the templates of intelligent life? I believe in intelligent life elsewhere, but is the earth way, the only way? Or could life be based on other elements, and are the elements the same? Or would alien life be based on an entirely different periodic table?
For all we know, I guess, every alien planet might have humans, and our world may be the only way a world can evolve.
Any opinions or actual knowledge that'll stick?
