First off, I'm not an expert.
I just want to engage the community here; with that being said, with what people know about signals used in communication via radio-(electromagnetic radiation) I was thinking that it could be possible to detect communication signals to/from the earth/moon.
To clarify, I'm not saying that if you detected such signals you could determine the traffic being sent or received, due to encryption, (I mean even cellular and email traffic is encrypted).
However, wouldn't it be at least possible to detect the signal at all? Like detecting the signal direction and type? Maybe even capturing the 'white-noise' made by the encryption?
