I have been interested in flying saucers since 1957 and really have made no secret that i believed that flying saucers are real, are flying around our skies, and are being piloted by aliens. Until very recently with the advent of cell phone cameras especially, flying saucer enthusiasts like me have been made fun of by the media. Its no wonder that many people were intimidated into staying silent about their own encounters.
I believe that the flying saucer community owes a tremendous debt to Art Bell and his salt of the earth late night truck drivers for bringing flying saucers into the mainstream. We should no doubt memorialize Art's contribution by a day of remembrance every year. But, that's another subject.
The point of this Post is how many of ya'll had close, no B.S. friends over the years, that confided in you their secret story of their close encounter? Before i had my own encounter several years ago, all i had to go on was the integrity of my friends, who told me the truth of their own encounters. I had 3 of them tell me their story over the years. Back in the Dark Ages not so long ago, where respectable people dared not speak of these things.
