I'm a bit late posting this, but r/nasa was selected as a trending subreddit for today, August 4! A big thank you to all of our subscribers for helping to make this a great community.
As those of you who have been around for a while know, we have grown tremendously this year. I posted about hitting 100K subscribers last October and just about 9 months later we're about to hit 400k! (Anyone taking bets on the exact date? No, there's no prize, sorry.)
On behalf of my fellow moderators, we want to thank you for your contributions and for generally making our lives pretty easy. I'm proud that in general, especially relative to other subreddits of our size, most of the discussions here are civilized and most comments do truly add to the conversation. When things get out of hand, you folks have been using the "report" button appropriately to bring the issue to our attention, which really helps. For the times when you see something that's not quite so civilized, please remember: Don't Feed The Trolls.
