From birth to highschool I had always lived on or right next to an air force base. My dad was a crew chief/technical writer on various aircraft ranging from the F-4 Phantom to the C-5 Galaxy. When I was finishing up 11th grade, we moved out to the country having just had a house built. The nearest neighbours were miles away.
It was one of the first nights there (possibly the very first night) I remember waking up surrounded by tall beings. I was instantly terrified and tried to let out a scream, only to discover not only was I able to move or scream, but I wasn't even able to breathe. Even though I wasn't breathing, I did not feel the urge or need to. The moment I wanted to close my eyes, everything went dark. It felt like only a moment had passed once I awoke. I moved out after I graduated highschool a year later.
I have told few people my story for a plethora of reasons, but the most recent person I told looked like he was reliving his similar experience; that gave me goose bumps.
