I just heard about Jerusalem Syndrome the other day, and I found it so strange and intriguing. Immediately my mind wandered to the possibility that, especially with the Middle East being the likely starting point for humanity, ancient visitors might have done something to the land in those olden days that could affect the minds of those in the surrounding areas, even to this day- that it was possibly done as a mass mind control measure or something of the sort.
Probably quite the stretch, I know, and I don’t know nearly as much about the syndrome as I should to be wondering about such off the wall causes, but it’s a thought I had and I wondered if anyone more knowledge on these subjects may have had a similar idea themselves. Has anyone heard of alternative causes or theories about Jerusalem Syndrome? That could be a real nice rabbit hole for me to dive into tonight.
