Could someone please explain 'application of common mission modules' and 'utilization of automated precursors' to me? They are quotes from Wernher von Braun, about what we needed to get to Mars (Mars : the NASA mission reports / compiled from the NASA archives & edited by Robert Godwin.)
I'm writing an article on colonizing Mars, and I don't want to guess at the meaning and get it wrong.
