Hello! I am tired of taking things by trust of someone's translation and possible manipulation of information because of how little professionally translated texts are available for confirmation (although all of the interpretation I have seen is very exciting, I feel like I need to be sure and fact check things on my own. After all, if it's failsafe then I'll just be able to confirm it, no harm done. I'm not hating on anything, I promise). I think I'm ready to just learn one or multiple ancient languages and dive in. I have been reading into the Anunnaki and ancient astronaut theory and I've been able to look past the absurdity of it and look more into the probability/logic and general accuracy of it based on what we can find from so long ago. Also - I'd really like to learn one or more languages for this reason. I'm a bit of a language person, I grasp them well and like them. So! What language(s) do you suggest I learn? I have some resources for Sumerian and Akkadian but I don't know what dialect, I tried to just find the oldest one possible.
Also - if you have recommendations on which language, do you know of any good resources?
