So I am a 21 year old who is very passionate about space exploration and space flight. I love watching rocket launches and looking at images from NASA's missions like Curiosity, Cassini, Juno, New Horizons, Hubble, and from the International Space Station. In short, I really want to work for NASA but there has been a few set backs. I have ADHD and have not always been the greatest student. I have always struggled to focus in class and learn. My mind can really only focus on things related to space exploration and space flight but it cannot focus on the basic courses needed for a degree. I however did manage to get an Associates Degree in Computer Science from my local Community College (which was a struggle for me). I passed with descent grades and an overall good GPA but that is all I have. I am struggling to get a Bachelor's Degree. So my question is, with my current credentials, is it possible for me to get a job at NASA and work on some of the projects (Curiosity, ISS, Juno, TESS, Hubble, SLS, Orion, etc)? I have learned C++ and Java programming with knowledge of object oriented programming and data structures but that is about it. I do not know any other programming languages or anything like that and am struggling to continue. I am not looking for any job in particular. Just something related to NASA's space flight and space exploration projects and it could be at any of the 10 NASA centers. Please provide me some advice.
P.S If you are just going to say I am not working hard enough, do not bother to comment. You do not know what it is like having ADHD. I want to be successful but my mind hinders my ability to focus. Do not comment if you are going to leave rude comments.
