So I recently turned 39 years old. My mother is 65. I have always had some interests in UFOs and aliens. So one day I was at her house and somehow the discussion of UFOs was brought up. My mom then says out of nowhere, I saw a UFO when I was a kid. Now keep in mind, my mom is a perfectly sane person who to this day doesn't believe in aliens and is a christian.
So naturally I asked her to tell me about it. Her is here story. She was 12 years old playing outside with her brother who was 9. They lived in a somewhat rural area with a large yard that stretched for acres. As she is playing, all of a sudden a saucer shaped object appeared in the field about 100 yards from her. She froze and starred at it in almost a trance like state. The object then moved closer and hovered about 20 feet from her and about 5 feet off the ground. She said it was silver and shiny. No rivets. Like one solid piece of metal about the size of a pickup truck.
She said the object made no noise at all as it hovered with no visible signs of propulsion. She said it sat there for what seemed like 5 minutes but she doesn't know how long for sure. Then, suddenly the object raised up to about 100 feet and flew away from her at what she said "an impossible speed." She said even this made no noise at all.
So she ran inside to tell her parents about it and they laughed it off like it was a plane or something. She didn't really talk about it with her brother so we aren't sure what he saw. She wanted to just pretend it never happened.
I asked her if it disturbed the grass in any way and she said she didn't remember but it might have flattened it a bit.
So to recap, saucer shaped, all one piece of silver metal, no sound, no means of propulsion, and impossible speed.
It sounds like a lot of similar sighting so I wanted to make sure this wasn't a memory from a movie or a story she heard.
But she maintains to this day that it really happened and never happened again.
I also more recently asked if she or her parents were visited by anyone shortly thereafter that wanted to talk to her about it and she said the only persons who come to the house was a guy selling something, she can't remember what, and asked her if she saw any strange planes or helicopters. Which was an insane question from a salesmen. She said he was a normal salesman type person who was excitable about selling his product. So to me that wasn't a typical MIB encounter but why the hell would he ask her that. That might be the creepiest part of this whole story,
After that she never talked to anyone else about it until she talked about it with me all those years later.
So I don't know. I know she is telling me the truth. She's not the type to make that stuff up when she doesn't even believe in it.
I just wanted to share this since it’s been on my mind for some reason. I figured this would be a good place to do it without people telling me or mom are nuts.
