I am part of a small team at my university researching costs, time, and resources associated with early spacecraft/satellite development. The goal is to generate numerical models associated with very early spacecraft developed (specifically NASA CML 1-3). - How many feasibility/trade-space studies occur per year and who is conducting them?

- How many satellites that are being designed are designed external to that organization?
