A job at NASA

Hello everyone!

Please bare with me as I share my experience.

I remember when I was a kid, starting in elementary school, I was really fascinated with space. I remember checking books out from my local and school libraries about the sun, planets, asteroids and space - spending days just reading the books, and then rereading them again. When I was 6, I checked out this one book which was about all the planets in our solar system. I spent days and nights rewriting everything into my notebook. Ever since I was kid, till now (I am 25) I am still really passionate about space and the fascinating work and discoveries that are made every day! I want to say this is in retrospect. I went college and got a bachelors in Chemical Engineering. Afterwords I did quality control/assurance work at a really big oil and gas company. This whole time I was always in this state of trying to figure out what I want to do with my life, and what my interests are. I left that job and joined one of the biggest consulting company - this is currently where I work. Each day I think about what I can do to join NASA and pursue this passion and dream of mine. I would love to be a planetary scientist. Another thing I am really interested is working on the space craft that it sent to space. It took me 8 years, and two jobs to rediscover the passion I had as a kid - realized this is what I want to do for the rest of my life!

I am struggling to figure out to how to format my resume, because this is a complete different career path. I don't really have any experience in this industry either. I am kind of lost, and don't really know what I need to do get my self in that path. I would really appreciate all the help and assistance I can get to help me get in the right path to pursue my passion.

I have taken many courses on edX on Astronomy/Space/Space Engineering related topics.

Thank you for all who have spent time to read my post!
