What if the Superman origin story is also our origin story? We are aliens, just like Superman was sent to Earth from a dying planet, our origin is similar but very different.
Just like Superman, we ourselves are alien, we aren't native to the Earth, just like water isn't native to Earth, our water came from frozen comets and meteors that constantly bombarded our planet, delivering ice that melted until there was enough to form our oceans.
Just like the origin of our water, so is the origin of us, the primordial soup that formed simple life forms on Earth might have came from the remnants of a dying planet or planets, in the form of comets and meteors.
We are so preoccupied with searching the stars for aliens, maybe, just maybe, we are the aliens, the descendants of a alien race that existed before the Earth was formed, of course, I'm not saying we should stop looking for aliens, no, because, just like us, there could be others out there with the same origin story as us.
