Very soon, within the next few decades, we will have intelligent machines with such extraordinary processing capabilities they will be able to invent new technologies and conduct scientific studies at rates that far exceed human capabilities. These machines may close the door on the so called alien intervention/ presence in our world and out play the ET presence by quickly learning the objectives of the intervention and determine a path that guarantees the survival of humanity (assuming such AIs are benign and friendly to humanity). Maybe this is the key to circumventing their interests and why the door is rapidly closing on their ability to operate in our world which means they will likely need to trigger an event to bring their plans forward. Thoughts?
