We have a major trash problem here on Earth, I mean, have you seen those pictures of "Trash island"? If we don't do something soon, trash could become a serious problem for every single person on the planet. Why not just shoot the trash into space, or better yet, send all that garbage straight into the sun. That'll teach it. And while that sounds like a plausible solution to our waste management problem, once you look at the logistics you realize it's insanely expensive to launch trash into space, let alone reach the sun!
