Flight Suits: Are blue flight suits an astronaut thing, a Johnson thing, or do NASA pilots just wear whichever color they prefer?

In photos, astronauts seem to consistently where blue and I know some other Johnson pilots affiliated with the astronaut program (e.g., instructors) wear blue, but pilots at other facilities seem to wear mostly tan (and sometimes green). Historically, NASA pilots have also worn orange flight suits. (And I do mean flight suits, not the shuttle launch suits.)

Anyone know the system/policy behind this? Thanks!
