More than likely, ETs would be in a range from strange animals/bugs or reptile-like creatures, and not humanoid, or they have advanced passed human bodies, and are intelligent robotic type beings.
I feel that with the size of our universe, the chances of life in just a few hundred, of the billions of supposed habital planets, is definitely likely. However the chances of another one of those planets in the same exact, or closely similar stage of evolution, is highly unlikely.
More than likely, other living beings will either be in an earlier, or more primitive survival based stage of life, and probably have different climates and gasses they evolved to withstand. Or they would be in a stage much further than us, and just be intelligent consciousness that operate artifical bodies (if any body at all) . Evolved passed conflict and disease, simply just intelligence
An 'Alien' being that is close to us in nature, is highly unlikely, and if there is then they definitely created us.
This is just what I think with all the information I've gathered on the subject
