Thoughts on the connection between psychedelic states such as those induced by DMT or meditation, and the inter-dimensional intelligence that Jacques Valleé implicated on JRE?

In the JRE podcast with Jacques and James, Valleé mentions that the bigger picture surrounding UFOs and other intelligent life should be considered from a more psychological, inter-dimensional, and even metaphysical lens. For those of you who have experienced intense psychedelic states, and have had interactions with non-physical entities, don’t you think there is a connection with the ideas Valleé discusses (mostly pertaining to his books)?
