Greetings.

As you may know, the Virgo Cluster is a massive gathering of galaxies near the constellation Virgo. Within this galaxy group are over 1000 unexplored, unnamed galaxies holding an average of 100 billion stars each. Each of these stars host an average of 1.6 planets in their orbit. 160 billion planets.
Within this deep region of space lies an unknown-to-man universe where a carbon based life form has developed into a type 1.3 civilization [based on your Kardashev Scale]. Proposed by one Nikolai Kardashev, this ranking system currently holds earth at a type 0.72 civilization. Starting on an Earth-like planet in orbit around a K-type main sequence star, bi-pedal intelligent life has existed on this planet for approximately 7.7 million out of the 5.837 billion earth years since this solar system formed. Documented stars in this solar system that resemble this k-type include HD 85512 and Kelper-62. These tend to be smaller in size around 50-80% of your sun’s mass and slightly cooler at 3.5-5,000 Kelvin.
Given enough time to develop efficient interplanetary travel, these organisms colonized local spatial bodies including the second exoplanet from their central star. At 0.32 AU this exoplanet’s orbit remains just inside the habitable zone with a dip where the planet slides extremely close to the star. Causing the planet to be covered in molten rock with a thick layer of lava flowing through it’s cracks and valleys and obliterating the chance for an atmosphere. The society’s great minds looked to this neighboring planet to fulfill their energy needs; provoking a mining colony formation where they successfully harvest 100% of the planet's core energy as well as capturing heat energy released on the surface. After gaining an incogitable amount of energy this society spread to another exoplanet and created commercial pathways to their moon. Constructing a substantial farming territory supplying their growing population. An advanced civilization like this should be apparent to humans looking in the right direction.
I can not tell you where or how I got this information but trust that I know it is true.
Now comes a mission to you. Use your knowledge and resources to answer these questions.
//
How could they exist?
What technology did they develop differently from earth?
Did they have access to some element unavailable in the Milky Way region?
What could be their motivations? Their incentives?
//
Find out what you can and report back.
