My grandfather's story.

My grandfather passed away in 1974 when I was 2 years old. I really have no memories of him which is sad, I understand he was full of fun and silliness, very loving family guy. This is a story passed down by my gramma and mom. Grandpa, let's call him John, was a pilot during the WWII. He had a prestigious law degree, but his love was flying. After the war, he settled into the golden age of air travel and was one of the first pilots with Eastern Airline. His plane hangs in nthe Smithsonian Aerospace Museum in DC, which has been a sense of family pride. Anyway, so the story goes... My grandfather was piloting a return flight back to The international airport in Miami. He and his co-pilot and some others in the cockpit at the time, my understanding was it was himself and 2 other men or maybe 3 other men... I'm not sure. They all saw a UFO out of the cockpit window. My Grandfather was a brilliant man, very intelligent, he had high clearance in the military. He could never explain what he saw as anything of this earth. He was scared, as were his colleagues. The only person he ever told was my grandmother. My mom was a teenager at time and she wasnt told the story until after my brother was born in 68. Anyway, backing up, grandpa described a ufo traveling at speed beside him for about 4 miles. And then it sped away and was out of their site in no time. It was rectangular. he could not identify the material of the build. It had lights. Now I previously stayed grandpa was scared. He told my grandmother how he had told, no, demanded his colleagues never mention what they saw to anyone, and he was the type of man that people respected. He told them that they and their families were all likely to be threatened or worse if they ever told, that the government would make sure they didnt talk about it one way for another. This would have been late 50s. I wasnt told the story until the early 2000s, my grandmother told me about it. Knowing the kind of honorific man my grandfather was, I do believe the story. My grandmother is now gone and my mom only remembers the details i was told. I was raised in a very open minded home, mu parents were hippies, metaphysic l, tree hugging, crystal wearing types. So I was not raised to doubt these kind of things, the story just served as confirmation of things I already believed in. Anyway, I said years ago when history channel started that alien show that they played 24/7 that they were normalizing information thru entertainment isi Brent to prepare society for the big disclosure.
