From bringing in prohibition to legalising marijuana, it’s the public that usually always drives major perception shifts of taboo topics. This time, it’s the government driving this forward and trying to convince the public. Makes me suspicious

They could easily not talk about this but they’re actively driving it forward, almost like they’re shoving it down the throats of people. It’s not like it wouldn’t be much easier (and in character) for them to completely deny and never acknowledge this topic.

I can’t help thinking, why now? Why at all?
