I have been stargazing and have noticed at very high altitudes there seem to be small, but bright, dots of light that move quickly across the sky. Sometimes they are in a straight line and sometimes they are very erratic. I have even noticed them change their luminosity very briefly (bright flash and then back to baseline brightness).
I use the TrackSat and Sky Walk apps to ID satellites and 9/10 there aren't any satellites nearby when I see them.
I have seen shooting stars and the like and these don't look or behave anything like these...any ideas?
