Few people have the valour to have their work stand against the prominently prevalent bigotry of the society, and with having set foot in an industry infamous for its uncertainties and expeditiously moving morals and perspectives, Mr. Richie Mehta, a person, a filmmaker, tormented by the event of December 16, 2012, that could make people's blood run cold, spoke at TEDxNIITUniversity, about the journey to a voice for cause, sketched through humanity and outrage; the wagon on its course to put forth an effort to eradicate dehumanisation, which was propelled by promises, promises he made to the people, promises he made to humanity–promises that helped him to not give out, but 'give'.
Few people have the valour to have their work stand against the prominently prevalent bigotry of the society, and with having set foot in an industry infamous for its uncertainties and expeditiously moving morals and perspectives, Mr. Richie Mehta is like a fresh spring breeze breaking the spell that the dull winter cast onto the world. From bearing an International Emmy for the Netflix Special Series, Delhi Crime, which revolved around a topic considered as taboo in our country, Rape, to creating a film like Amal, he left a very lasting impression, arriving at a new vantage that had never been understood or spoken of. The pure and bona fide emotions that are often left unarticulated, come to life when his adroitness lays a hand on them. More so, the valiance with which he brings them out and leaves it on the spectator’s understanding to unfold and to confront the most abhorrent truths of the society, is the truest sense with which art can prevail. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
