Saturn reaches opposition on August 2, 2021 when Saturn, Earth and the Sun are all in a straight line, with Earth in the middle. Saturn, the sixth planet outward from the Sun is the most distant world that’s easily visible to the unaided eye. When opposite the Sun, Saturn is visible all night and at its best.
Opposition provides the best and closest views of Saturn and several of its brightest moons. To see cool details you'll need a telescope. The best views on August will be just after midnight. However, great Saturn viewing will last several more months.
