Solar Update July 28, 2021. Three sunspot groups are currently visible on the solar disc. Region 2846 produced a pair of B5 flares at 27/1923 UTC and 27/2150 UTC respectively. A B9 flare was also observed at 27/2226 UTC
from the area near Region 2849. No associated CMEs were observed
in coronagraph imagery with these events.

Large Filament Eruption and CME
A large filament eruption was observed on July 27 from 01:55 UTC to 03:25 UTC close to the disc centre which was associated with an Earth-directed coronal mass ejection. The speed of this coronal mass ejection is estimated to be around 1100 km/s, and its arrival on Earth is estimated later today (July 28, 2021).

There is a chance of minor geomagnetic storms when the plasma cloud arrives.
