Why do all described alien "species" look similar to something from earth?

A reason for why I can't really believe that there are multiple distinct species of ETs visiting earth is that all these described species are inspired by something based on earth. If there would only be the greys, that are humanoid, I could believe that. In general, I could believe that the "humanoid" form is somehow advantageous in our universe and that most alien species may look like us, but why should there be all these other species that are based on other animals etc. There are supposed to be the "reptilians™", a species that looks like a praying mantis, "hairy" aliens that look somewhat like a bear or Chewbacca and many more of what I read on here. But what I noticed from all these descriptions is, that they are all somewhat inspired by something from this planet. Why should there be a "mantis" alien? What is the probability, that something like an intelligent mantis would develop somewhere else? On earth mantis are not close at all to reach intelligence that would be comparable to ours. Also, if you look at our history, our ancestors (before monkeys) didn't even look similar to us, so mantis would probably change their appearance a lot if they would develop to something with our intelligence. So, it would be highly unlikely for something like that to happen. And there are supposed to be even more alien species that look like something from earth, what kind of probability is that? The only way that would make sense would be that these aliens put them on earth, so that these animals actually are inspired by the aliens, not the other way around. This is highly unlikely in my eyes as well. Ok maybe us humans are a product of crossbreeding with an ET species (which I dont believe honestly), but all reptilians? and mantis of all animals? That makes absolutely no sense to me.

Maybe somebody has arguments that can convince me, but right now I can't believe there are all these earth-inspired "aliens". For me this sounds more like imagination, based on all kinds of animals that we have on earth.
