Consciousness as the gateway to ET connection

I have a theory that I started entertaining in my mind today. That consciousness (and its fundamental role in the nature of the universe) might be the key to our ability to connect with ETs and specifically that they are trying to show us that is the case. Let me explain...

There are two elements of the ET/UFO phenomenon that seemed unrelated to me until today, but might actually have a really important relationship with each other.

(1) That ETs interact with contactees through consciousness in a variety of means. Close encounters may involve some type of non-verbal / telepathic communication. Additionally the intention to interact with ETs / UFOs might actually precede contact - almost as if they are listening. Similarly, during contact a thought or intention might actually be responded to. For example, there have been stories of sightings where a UFO seems to be responding to the intention / thoughts of the person/persons witnessing the event. In the Nimitz case, the tic tac UFO seemed to know about Commander Fravor's cap point, something that likely could not have been known, though I understand there is some speculation it could have been observed. Then there is the high strangeness of Skinwalker Ranch and how the phenomenon seems to have an awareness of what the experiencers are doing and responds appropriately.

(2) That ETs at this point have remained just out of reach. Almost as if they are teasing us. Showing themselves in mysteriously fleeting moments, just enough to tease our interest but clearly never landing on the white house lawn so to speak. Almost as if they are saying 'You're not quite ready yet'.

As time goes by it feels that the relationship between ETs / UFOs and consciousness grows. Could it be possible that they are waiting for us to wake up to the fundamental nature of consciousness? Perhaps the acknowledgement of that reality has implications that are far beyond what we have yet imagined. From this perspective I wonder whether it is only through consciousness that they will slowly start to connect more openly with humanity. And that will be the sign that we are ready to have a real conversation...
