Today, Sunspot AR 2860 unleashed a strong long-duration M4.7-class solar flare towards Earth. A pulse of X-rays from the flare ionized the top of Earth's atmosphere, causing a minor shortwave radio blackout.
LOCATION OF HF FADEOUT: SE Asia/China/India/Indian Ocean
Any associated CME with this event will be Earth-Directed.
