I always see posts about the affects on religion the discovery of aliens would have. My question is why do we assume that religion is only a construct of humans and in the same breath compare our religious texts as being misconstrued observations or interactions with alien life. If you believe we were created by aliens or guided in some way then would it not stand to reason that we were not only created in their image but also by their belief systems?
