I want to take into account the overwhelming commonality in the describing of these more advanced peoples and point out how they're almost always biped hominids with eyes, ears and mouth's (head, shoulders, knees and toes) all of which are relatively located in the same areas as ours.
With this in mind I want to point out something we all know; amino acids are the "building blocks of life" and that there's a thick blanket of them evenly covering the entire cosmos. There are 9 amino acids that are required for all life (extremophiles too) but cannot be produced by life Instead they're literally everywhere in abundance to support these life systems when the host planet is within the span of the goldilocks zone (additionally molten core, water, etc). When this happens, they spring to life like a perennial in spring. wordsmith.
I also want to remind us of old Clifford Stone and his description of the 80+ hominids that he encountered during his supposed crash retrievals. He marveled at how many of them looked just like us mammalian earthlings, save for a few heightened senses (and some pretty amazing tech). Perhaps evolution is more of a "constant" than some think and planets may have a propensity for supporting life that ends up looking very similar to us most of the time\*.
Now picture a few of your top 10 favorite dinosaurs (the smarter ones)... they were bipeds. Take the Troodon from the Cretaceous for example; he was big brained, fast as fuck, possessed long articulated fingers for grasping, and had stereoscopic vision. Sue the T-Rex was the 4th most intelligent and they both lived fruitfully until their demise at the K-T mass extinction event...
...64,000,000 years ago.
Enter you, a burrowing rodent; 55 million years later and you're a biped with a rock tied to a stick and a cave within which to hunker...
...55,000,000 years behind schedule.
Most of the galaxies and their planets had cooled off 3-4 billion years ago and some of the earliest signs of life sprouted within that time.
I want to posit an theory that this was a very, very, very common occurrence across the cosmos - and when you add it all up MINUS our K-T mass extinction event you might as well theorize further and posit that we're very, very, very behind some of these others who were able to evolve unhindered, free of any mass extinction events...
We very well could be a kind of "Pioneer Town" where Earth is ultimately a "living museum" - a reflection of what it was like for them long, long ago.
A very SOMBER potentiality if you ask me.
***edit: However there's got to be a few that are right there with us; here's hoping we get a tap on the shoulder soon, an upgrade is long overdue :)
