How balancing passion, patience, discipline, and perseverance, can turn your dreams into reality! Minu Bakshi is a multifaceted and versatile individual. A trained classical singer, a professor of Spanish language at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, a Spanish language interpreter for the Indian Government, a well-known poet of Urdu poetry & the Chairperson of the NGO, Savera (for the uplifting of underprivileged women and children). She is the Chairperson of the United Kingdom Asian Film Festival, London. Decorated with ‘Order of Isabella la Catolica’, by the King of Spain. ‘Punjabi Achiever's Award 2014’ by the former Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh. ‘Fakhr-e-Hind’ (Pride of the Nation) award and the prestigious ‘Cultural Ambassador Award’ for her work in Urdu. the ‘Women of the Decade in Innovation & Leadership Award 2019’, ‘Cultural Activist of the year Award (FICCI)’, ‘Chishti Award 2019’, ‘Doctorate of Philosophy-Honoris Causa’ and many more accoladed in her name, Minu continues to write, sing, teach along with her philanthropic activities.
