After making a post here yesterday, I realize I have a completely different idea of what alien life might be like compared to most people. My idea of the search for life is antihypothetical to the one we currently use, in terms of the search for water/carbon/terrestrial based life, that uses electrochemical stimulation to survive. I believe life could present itself in a non-cellular based, abstract form, that may be able to survive in extreme radiation, or lack of radiation.
I believe that intelligent alien life may be capable of feats beyond our understanding, and we may not even recognize them as a living entity at first. They may even be a loose connection of matter that propogates a consciousness, or some semblance of a conscious. Maybe there's only one of said being, that can not produce offspring, but more or less has an indefinite lifespan (don't think god, think "space jellyfish", only it looks nothing like a jellyfish).
I don't believe alien life would be animalistic in nature at all, or demonstrate particularly humanistic phenomenon such as society, order, or morality (which I know some animals exhibit). My piece being said, what you would imagine alien life to present itself as?
