I remember hearing about this story when it happened. The Boy was missing for 3 days in freezing rain temps and said a nice bear helped him survive.. This sounds very suspicious to me and I think it could be related to the phenomenon. The orbs that people see have been known to shape shift into pretty much anything. Maybe that is what could have happened.
