TL;DR: My brother and I saw a bright light/craft as children that we observed for several minutes.
As a child, I grew up in a small farming community in the Midwest, USA. The town I grew up in, isn’t even considered a town, it’s considered a village, with a population of less then 100 people.
At 12 years old, my brother and I shared a room in my parents house. Our bunk beds were up against a window that looked out over miles of farm land.
One night, we are laying in bed, playing our game boys, when outside of the window there is this very bright light in the distance. It catches my eye, I start to stare. As I am observing, whatever this is, I grab my brother’s attention (he’s 10) and it jumps much closer to our view.
Now I’m not talking about this thing was flying or gliding towards us. It literally, JUMPED probably 3-4 miles closer.
It was so bright that you couldn’t even make out the craft.
We threw our shoes on and ran outside and stood in the yard watching. I remember yelling “What are you!”, by this time both of our chocolate labs had made their way outside and were barking at this thing that was way in the sky a few miles from us.
I continue to stare. I ask again out loud “What are you?!” Then, there’s no light.
This is where things start to set in that it has jumped again, and is directly above us. We are standing looking directly up, and I feel this wave of calmness. This sense that whatever this thing is, is projecting to me that it is real, and that it is peaceful. At this time I felt so connected to the black abyss above me. It made the world seem that much smaller.
My father comes running outside wondering what is going on because the dogs are going nuts, my brother and I are looking to the sky, and as soon as my father exits the porch, again, the light is gone. I never saw it again.
Ever since that experience, every night I spend 30 minutes to an hour looking up at the sky’s hoping to see it again. I never have.
