Is there some higher-dimensional Kirchhoff's law?

I am just a school student, so it is entirely possible that I am speaking nonsense. However, I spend some time over at /r/math and am somewhat interested in geometry/topology, so the idea seemed sort of natural to me.

Cannot the junction and loop rules be considered to be somewhat similar 0- and 1-dimensional laws? Is there some "generalized Kirchhoff's voltage law"? Why (not)?
