Has anybody done the math?

Has anybody done the math on the probability of alien life? Taking into account the approximate age of the universe, age of the earth, age of humanity, etc... Is there any mathematical probability write-ups about alien life?

I was thinking today that we could be the first sentient life in the Universe. Somebody has to be the first, so why not us? I'm sure there is some series of equations that could be done to give some measure of the likelihood of that being the case.

Also, I'm new to the sub, just subscribed now, and it seems everybody on here seems to have no doubt about extraterrestrial life. Aliens surely will exist at some point, maybe they have already, maybe they do now; but what makes you guys so sure that they do now, and have interacted with Earth without the general population being aware of it? What are some of the irrefutable points of evidence that give you guys that opinion? Thanks.
