Was asked directions by someone driving a NASA "Asset Recovery Team" van. Who are they and what are they doing?

I was cutting grass in Washington, Pennsylvania and two ladies in an official looking NASA van that said "Asset Recovery Team" asked me where the Washington Co. Airport was because their GPS wasn't getting them there. I gave them directions the best that could and jokingly asked if they had the next Mars Rover in there. They chuckled and said no, something else. I was curious if anyone knows what this job is and what they would be doing in Washington PA?
