This is out of the blue: Going into junior year at college, can I still have "the right stuff"?

Hey, everyone. I'm sorry, but life has lost its luster somewhat. I'm going into my third year at UIUC as a ChemE. First year, I got a 3.9 for the year. Second year, I got a 3.0 for the year. Summer classes helped me get back to a 3.53. I know that the blame is completely mine, but I am worried that the toxic relationship I was in slowly undermined me. I want to succeed, maybe even do something with NASA. I was so ambitious, but life just isn't going well. Am I still on the right track? I just finished a research internship at Pitt (Bio-related), and I am going to participate even more in the Propulsion division of an RSO and look for Propulsion-based internships. I really want to do my best.
