I am a high-school student working with a group through a nearby college and we are building a satellite.

As the title would suggest, I am in a group of high-school students who are working with a nearby college to put together a CubeSat which, if you don't know, is a satellite powered by solar panels with a 10 cm by 10 cm by 10 cm box for a payload. The design of the satellite is pretty much set in stone, but the payload can be basically whatever we want it to be: from nothing at all, to a 3D printer that would (hopefully) function in space. The satellite will be brought to the ISS sometime next year, 2017, to be launched from there. We have been thinking about things to send in the CubeSat but we are having trouble with the brainstorming process. My group has asked me to post around on Reddit to see what you guys would do and I thought this would be a good place to start as it is a NASA project and can be found on NASA's website. I am hoping with all hope that you will respond with some ideas to inspire us and I look forward to reading your responses!
