Request: Female Mathematician for Grade School biography

Hello, my daughter (6th grade) has an assignment to write a biography of a current female mathematician or statistician. I thought someone working on space related projects would be a real cool biography for her to work on. You can either speak to her on the phone or be in contact with her by e-mail (she has a school e-mail address).
